The prestigious office building located at 1 ONZ Roundabout has received LEED Platinum certification under LEED v4.1 O+M (Building Operations and Maintenance), having scored 85 points, four more than in the previous certification. The certification was carried out by JW+A.
The recertification process consisted in a comprehensive analysis of Rondo 1’s operations and maintenance, and included an energy audit and a thermal comfort survey among occupants, as well as water efficiency and waste management.
“Achieving the LEED recertification at the Platinum level shows that Rondo 1 is not only one of the most iconic office buildings in Warsaw, but also one of the ‘greenest’. It meets the global standards developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), provides a workplace that supports a balanced and healthy lifestyle, and is environmentally friendly,” says Grzegorz Dyląg, Head of Asset Services Business Space, Cushman & Wakefield.
Rondo 1 is a modern triple A office building. It was designed by globally renowned architects from Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in collaboration with Warsaw-based AZO. Located by ONZ Roundabout, the office complex consists of two buildings: a 40-floor tower (Building B) parallel to Jana Pawła II Avenue and a ten-floor building (Building A) along Świętokrzyska Street. It was completed in 2006. It offers 67,000 sq m of office space and has a total area of 103,000 sq m. It also provides 490 parking spaces and amenities such as a fitness club, a kindergarten, a tailor and cleaner’s.
