Cushman & Wakefield Named Exclusive Sales Agent for Multifamily Building in the Bronx

10/7/2019
Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has been retained on an exclusive basis to market for sale 1955 and 1957 Lurting Avenue, an 8,500-square-foot multifamily site in Morris Park.

New York, NY – A Cushman & Wakefield team led by Jonathan Squires and Robert Shapiro will market the property on behalf of the property’s seller.

“The free market status of 1955 and 1957 Lurting Avenue makes these buildings attractive opportunities in today’s uncertain rent regulated market,” said Jonathan Squires of Cushman & Wakefield. “Market rate housing has become increasingly desirable, making this asset a valuable opportunity for prospective buyers.”

1955 and 1957 Lurting Avenue are located between Neill and Rhinelander Avenues in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx. The property consists of two 5-unit brick apartment buildings with a total of 10 residential units. All apartments are completely occupied and consist of six 1-bedroom apartments and four 2-bedroom apartments.

The buildings are within walking distance to Morris Park Subway Station, serviced by the 5 train. The Bronx Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Medical Center are in close proximity.
