Gordon Messinger, Managing Director in the Miami Office Agency Leasing group, won the award for “Office Lease Transaction of the Year” for his efforts on Lennar Corporation’s 156,000-square-foot 16-year headquarters lease at 5505 Waterford at Blue Lagoon, located in Miami’s premier corporate office park.
This is Messinger’s second time winning this honor in three years. At the 2017 Awards of Excellence, he was recognized for Florida Blue’s 81,000-square-foot lease at Doral Court in Miami, which was the largest relocation lease of 2017 in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Florida Blue is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
The Cushman & Wakefield Office Agency Leasing team in Fort Lauderdale, which is comprised of Deanna Lobinsky, Travis Herring, Katherine Ridgway, Chase Kulp and Jessica Gomez, was honored as the “Office Broker Team of the Year.” The team oversees leasing for 13 buildings in all of Broward County’s major submarkets totaling more than 3.5 million square feet.
In 2019, the team completed four of the largest leases in Broward county including a build-to-suit option for a Fortune 100 company, Ultimate Software Group’s approximately 100,000-square-foot lease, Hayes Medical’s 77,000-square-foot lease and a GSA lease for approximately 133,000 square feet.
“It’s always a great feeling to see your colleagues recognized for their successes,” said Gian Rodriguez, Managing Principal of Cushman & Wakefield’s Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices. “But I especially take pride in the fact that our brokers took home top honors in two of the five categories where they were named finalists.”
Cushman & Wakefield was also recognized as a finalist for Institutional Sale of the Year for the sale of 550 Biltmore, Office Lease of the Year for Hayes Medical Staffing’s lease, Industrial Team of the Year (Rick Etner Jr., Matthew McAllister, Chris Metzger, Julie Miller, Adam Talbot, Christopher Thomson and Alex VanDresser) and Investment Team of the Year (Migual Alcivar, Mike Ciadella, Jason Hochman, Greg Miller, Dominic Montazemi and Scott O’Donnell.)
