On October 8, 2020, CEO Gregory Dangler hosted the event, where Betsy Markey, Executive Director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and Nathan Anderson, Senior Director of Public Affairs at Union Pacific Railroad, spoke and highlighted their excitement and support of the project including its promising impact on economic growth.
The Rail Park is in unincorporated Adams County, just off Manila Rd and I-70, and adjacent to the Colorado Air and Space Port (formerly Front Range Airport). Construction will start in Q4 2020 with the ability for buyers to start building in Spring of 2021.
Adams County Commissioner Emma Pinter was not able to attend the event but provided the following statement, “We are very excited to have the new Rail Park in Adams County. This new Rail Park will be a catalyst for many economic development opportunities in the county, at and around, our Colorado Air and Space Port. The park, and its prime location, will provide much needed access for current and future businesses across the metro area to ship products cross-country in a faster and more economical way and will provide space for new business opportunities. In addition, this new Rail Park will foster job growth in our county which has a direct impact on sustaining a better quality of life for our residents.”
