1/14/2021
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., January 14, 2021 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today the firm has appointed veteran real estate professional Matt Chatham to the role of Managing Principal for the Northern California market.

Matt Chatham MP

Based in San Francisco, he will oversee all aspects of the firm’s operations and business lines throughout the region.

Chatham previously served as Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Representation Lead for San Francisco a position he held since joining the firm in 2018. Chatham will report to Dan Broderick, Cushman & Wakefield’s recently appointed President of the West Region overseeing the firm’s offices in the Western United States, Canada and Latin America.

“We are thrilled to have Matt lead our Northern California market, while deservedly elevating his role within our company,” said Dan Broderick. “During his career, Matt has been recognized for his accomplishments in negotiating complex transactions to both established and high-growth companies, and has been a valuable asset for our clients and our firm. Northern California is a critical market for the firm, and therefore it was important that we select a highly knowledgeable and disciplined regional leader to help guide this market forward in a progressive and thoughtful manner. We are confident in Matt’s vision and leadership in this new role.”

In his 19-year career focused solely on tenant advocacy, Chatham has completed 6.5 million square feet of transactions valued at $3.5 billion.

“I am humbled and excited at this opportunity to lead our Northern California market,” commented Chatham. “Our offices consist of many of the top and most respected brokers and professionals that our industry has to offer, while representing many of the most influential landlords and occupiers in the region. I look forward to doing my very best to lead our team in serving our clients at the highest level. As a firm we have been committed to work as hard as ever through the pandemic and as the recovery unfolds, we’ll continue to be at the forefront of providing innovative solutions to help our clients achieve their short- and long-term business objectives.”

Additional notes:
Dan Broderick was appointed to the role of President of the West Region for Cushman & Wakefield several months ago. Overseeing Cushman & Wakefield’s offices in the Western United States, Canada and Latin America, his primary duty is leading the strategic design of the West region, as well as the full mobilization and integration of Cushman & Wakefield resources, expertise and services. In addition, Cushman & Wakefield’s National Industrial Practice will report to him, and he will continue leading the National Single Tenant Triple Net Division.
