LOS ANGELES, Calif., August 11, 2021 – The firm named Phil Brodkin to the role of Managing Principal of Los Angeles, overseeing the Downtown, West LA, North LA, and South Bay areas, and Cody Cannon to the role of Managing Principal of Orange County and Inland Empire.
Brodkin and Cannon will report to Dan Broderick, Cushman & Wakefield’s President of the West Region, who said, “We remain committed in our effort to recruit the best and brightest talent and are so excited to welcome Phil and Cody to our team and in these important leadership roles. Greater Los Angeles is a flagship market for Cushman & Wakefield and a top priority for our firm. Collectively, Phil and Cody will focus on driving performance and ensuring we continue to deliver the best outcomes for our clients across the region.”
Brodkin brings nearly 20 years of industry experience and across a variety of services including Project Leasing, Occupier, Industrial and Capital Markets. Prior to his new role at Cushman & Wakefield, Brodkin served as Market Leader for the Los Angeles Region for Newmark as well as the National Leader of Industrial and Logistics Services.
Cannon possesses more than 15 years of industry experience, with deep experience in Capital Markets. Prior to his new position, Cannon served as Co- Executive Managing Director of the Greater Los Angeles region for Colliers where he oversaw seven offices and was the region’s executive leader of the Capital Markets and Debt service lines. To date, Cannon has transacted over $1 billion in sales volume.

In addition to his prior work at Newmark, Brodkin has served as a Director of Real Estate for The Regus Group where he was responsible for overseeing strategic growth for the western U.S. He was also a brokerage professional for nine years with CBRE where his work encompassed all aspects of landlord advisory, tenant representation and investment acquisitions. He is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate Association (LACRA), and is also the founding member of the Lilabean Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research.

Prior to Colliers, Cannon began his career at Marcus & Millichap before departing to build and manage his own firm. He later returned to Marcus & Millichap in 2015 to serve as the firm’s Regional Manager, where he led its Los Angeles and Inland Empire sales force. Cannon serves on CREW Network’s Board of Directors and leads workshops for the organization’s local and national conferences. He is also a member of SIOR, CCIM, AIR and NAIOP. Additionally, he is actively involved with Feeding America’s local food banks, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and Riverside.
