Cushman & Wakefield Named a 2022 Military Friendly® Gold Employer

11/11/2021

Real estate services firm recognized for fourth consecutive year, earning Gold distinction for the second time

CHICAGO - Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), a leading global real estate services firm, announced today that it has earned the 2022 Military Friendly® Employer designation. The firm has been recognized for four years in a row, earning the Gold distinction nowMFE-GOLD-300 for the second time.

“We’re pleased to earn this recognition for the fourth consecutive year, and to announce on Veterans Day as we honor the diverse group of people who serve or have served in the U.S. armed forces,” said Nadine Augusta, Cushman & Wakefield’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer. “Veterans in our firm and our C&W Services business bring valuable experiences and skills that support our values of being driven, inclusive and succeeding together.”

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over a thousand companies participated in the 2022 Military Friendly® survey. Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.

“This recognition is proof that Cushman & Wakefield is a leader among our peers and businesses across industries in offering programs designed to recruit, retain and develop veterans and service members. This is imperative to our business and operations, and we look forward to continuing to improve our program,” said Doug Jones, Market Principal in Dallas and Executive Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Military & Veterans Program. Jones formerly served as an Army infantry officer.

Cushman & Wakefield will be showcased along with other 2022 Military Friendly® Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com.

In 2020, Cushman & Wakefield became an authorized provider of Department of Defense Skillbridge internships, which allow for service members to gain valuable work experience and training as they transition from military to civilian careers. Cushman & Wakefield also has a strategic alliance with DHC Real Estate Services, a service-disabled-veteran-owned commercial real estate firm, which enables public and private sector enterprises to include real estate services in their commitments to supplier diversity. Cushman & Wakefield’s Veterans employee resource group (ERG) and post-military career functions help veterans establish relationships and build comradery while providing opportunities for career and leadership development.

“I’m proud that we’re continuing to build a company culture that offers veterans a sense of belonging through community and rewarding work outside of the military, as reflected by this award and our initiatives and partnerships,” said Matt Disher, Cushman & Wakefield’s Military & Veterans Program Leader and Chairman of the firm’s Veterans ERG, who also previously served as a U.S. Marine.
