New Jersey – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has hired industry veteran Niko Nicolaou as a Vice Chairman. Based out of the firm’s East Rutherford office, Nicolaou will be a member of the Multifamily Advisory Group, focusing primarily on multifamily investment sales.

Nicolaou has more than 15 years of experience representing a wide variety of property owners and investors, from institutional entities and private equity funds to family offices and private individuals. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in over $2.6 billion in sales, including more than 165 deals and over 10,000 units.

Nicolaou joins Cushman & Wakefield from Gebroe-Hammer Associates where he served as Executive Vice President for more than 12 years. His successes have been recognized by a myriad of industry groups and publications, including being named on NJBiz’s 40 Under 40 list, identified as a Top Multifamily Influencer by Real Estate Forum, awarded the number two top individual sales broker by the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal (MAREJ) and being a CoStar Power Broker for seven consecutive years. Additionally, he was recognized by MAREJ in 2018 for the largest multifamily sale in the region.
Nicolaou is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the New Jersey Apartment Association. He holds a degree in Business Finance and Philosophy from Monmouth University.
