4/21/2022

CHICAGO - Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, has earned the VETS Indexes 3 Star Employer designation as part of the 2022 VETS Indexes Employer Awards. The award recognizes the firm’s commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing and supporting veterans and the military-connected community.

Vet Indexes“Cushman & Wakefield has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to veterans and the military community, through its efforts to recruit, support and promote those who served our country bravely,” said George Altman, managing director of VETS Indexes.

“At Cushman & Wakefield, we know that by actively working to hire, retain and support veterans, we are adding highly effective employees to our organization,” said Matt Disher, Cushman & Wakefield’s Military & Veterans Program Leader and Chairman of the firm’s Veterans Employee Resource Group, and a veteran of the U.S. Marines. “We are grateful for this recognition from VETS Indexes, as we continue to promote opportunities to be part of a company culture that recognizes and enhances veterans’ service and skills.”

The VETS Indexes Employer Awards are determined through an in-depth survey that analyzes employers’ policies, practices, and outcomes across five categories:

  • Veteran job candidate recruiting and hiring
  • Veteran employee development and retention
  • Veteran-inclusive company policies and culture
  • Support for members of the National Guard and Reserves
  • Military spouse/family support

Nearly 120 organizations submitted surveys to be considered for the awards. Responding organizations included companies large and small, government agencies and departments, nonprofit groups, colleges, and universities. Not all organizations that submitted surveys were recognized with awards.
