New York, NY – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has hired Matthew Yance as a Director for the firm’s Valuation & Advisory group as part of the senior living and care specialty practice. Based out of the firm’s New York office, Yance will focus on institutional valuations and market studies across the United States.
“We continue to believe in the near-term growth and long-term health of the senior living and care specialty sector,” said Zach Bowyer, Executive Managing Director. “Looking at our aging population, we believe the level of demand will continue to grow in the next five years. Ensuring that we have the brightest and most experienced professionals in the industry along with a robust data analytics platform allows us to serve our clients most effectively, maximizing opportunity while managing risks.”
Yance has nine years of experience focusing on the senior living sector. Previously, he was at Newmark where he co-led the senior housing and healthcare team, overseeing a team of appraisers focused on the senior housing industry as well as business development, assignment management, delivery of appraisal and consulting services, and training of appraisal professionals.
“Joining Cushman & Wakefield is an exciting opportunity to leverage my experience in the senior living sector and contribute to the firm’s continued growth in this specialty practice,” said Yance. “I look forward to collaborating with the talented team at Cushman & Wakefield to deliver exceptional valuation and advisory services.”
Earlier this year, the firm also hired Kaleigh Jones and James MacAdam, MAI as Directors in the senior living and care group to support sector growth. Jones joined from JLL in March and is based in Columbus, OH, focusing primarily on agency valuations. MacAdam, MAI joined from CBRE in April and is based in Philadelphia, specializing on HUD valuations.
