Barrie Scardina

President of Americas Retail Services, Agency Leasing & Alliances • United States

As the Northeast Regional President, Barrie Scardina oversees Cushman & Wakefield’s strategic business operations in local markets, including Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and the DC Metro area. Among her responsibilities are strategic planning, client care, brokerage talent development and performance management for the Northeast.

Barrie also serves as Executive Managing Director and Head of Retail Services, Americas. In this role, she is responsible for building stronger retail client relationships and deepening the firm’s retail expertise, including expanding retailer tenant representation strategies and agency leasing opportunities. She consistently focuses on delivering value to the client’s bottom line by evaluating conversion-driving technology, omni-channel integration, and business valuation. This unique approach to client relationships ensures that the firm more closely aligns with brands on areas of opportunity relative to site selection, portfolio optimization, and space utilization. Barrie is results-oriented, focused on transforming the retail landscape by strategically driving revenue, identifying operational efficiencies, and growing profitability.

Barrie joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2019, bringing more than 15 years of executive experience. Prior to this, she spent three decades leading vital retail initiatives across a variety of world-class organizations including Polo Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, The Children’s Place, and Tory Burch. At Calvin Klein, she led the company’s North American Retail Division as President, setting strategic direction for merchandising, consumer experience, and operational improvements.

Throughout her career, Barrie has focused on mentoring and developing talent and creating cultures that foster collaboration and equality. She has held several diversity and inclusion roles including leading the LGBTQ business resource group and participating in the Women’s Leadership Council at Calvin Klein.  She currently serves as a national leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network National Chapter; is an ally member of UNITY, their LGBTQ employee resource group; and is a member of Chief, a network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders.
