Mr. Melendez joined Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in April 2012. He is a member of the Hospitality & Gaming group within Valuation & Advisory. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Melendez was a 13-year veteran with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. He gained experience in various aspects of hotel operations and his core competencies are in revenue management as well as sales and marketing.

Since joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Melendez has led a variety of consulting and valuation assignments, including but not limited to market and financial feasibility studies, expert witness testimony, appraisals, appraisal reviews, product/brand recommendations, impact studies, ground lease analyses, property tax appeals, and purchase price allocations. Mr. Melendez has participated in the valuation of virtually every hospitality property type including hotels, motels, resorts, conference centers, and mixed-use hospitality developments. 

Mr. Melendez has valued and consulted on many premier hotels and proposed developments such as The Waldorf Astoria, Baccarat Hotel, St Regis, Four Seasons, Essex House, Mandarin Oriental, New York Palace, The Plaza, The Carlyle, 550 Madison Avenue, 666 Fifth Avenue, and The Crown Building to name a few. Since joining C&W in 2012, Mr. Melendez has been directly involved in the valuation of over $69.0 billion in New York hospitality real estate.
