Cushman & Wakefield Advises on the Sale of 9 Via Dante, Milan

Cushman & Wakefield has sold 9 Via Dante in Milan on behalf of AXA Investment Management.

The Capital Markets team at Cushman & Wakefield advised AXA IM Alts, on the sale of Via Dante 9, a mixed-use property located in the heart of the historic centre of Milan.

The location, characterized by excellent accessibility via public transport, is located in a strategic and central position between the Duomo and the Sforzesco Castle; in addition to being a renowned high street shopping destination in Milan, the area is also a very important business hub of the Milan CBD.

Dante 9 is spread over 7 floors above ground and a basement, totalling 5,400 m2 of gross surface area mainly for office and commercial use. The property, characterized by an iconic and prestigious marble façade, is rented to prestigious national and international office and retail tenants.

The qualities of the asset, which combine the historicity and aesthetics of the property with modern and contemporary technical equipment, have also allowed Dante 9 to achieve, and then re-confirm over the years, the BREEAM In-Use Very Good certification.

Carlo Vanini, Head of Capital Markets at C&W Italy, comments: “The transaction confirms the attractiveness of the Milan real estate market which, despite a difficult and uncertain macro-economic context, still proves to be of interest, especially with regards to properties with solid fundamentals, located in strategic positions in the city.

Sara Ravagnani, Head of Office Capital Markets at C&W Italy, adds: “We are proud to have been able to assist AXA IM Alts in this successful transaction, which came at the end of a structured process which attracted considerable interest from an audience of investors both national and international, testifying to the resilience of the Milan real estate market".
