Cushman & Wakefield announces a new employee benefit

Anna Trochim • 02/02/2022

As of 1 January 2022, the employees of global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield became eligible for another fringe benefit – two extra days off work, introduced as part of the firm’s well-established “Benefits In Your Hands” scheme, which provides for a regular review of employee benefits by a task force comprising employees from all its business lines.

Extra days off work are available to employees who used up their holiday entitlements in 2021.

“The new benefit was introduced to meet the needs of our staff. It is also aligned with our corporate strategy of driving business excellence sustainably and in line with labour market trends. We are planning to pilot the benefit for a year to find out how effective it is. Based on employee feedback and an analysis of how often holiday entitlements were used up, we have already started internal discussions on adding more days to this benefit. What matters to us is that the benefit is available to all our employees irrespective of their roles or seniority. We will definitely be soon also working on redesigning our benefit packages for our working parents in connection with the EU Work-life Balance Directive,” says Anna Trochim, Head of HR, Cushman & Wakefield

In addition to extra days off work, Cushman & Wakefield offers a vast array of customised employee benefits. The firm’s corporate strategy and organisational culture where the focus is always on people and their needs have led to the creation of such projects as Cushwake Cares (a range of measures designed to build awareness of the impact of a lifestyle on health, both on an individual and social level) and free psychological support which now also includes the Helping Hand platform – Poland’s first app which allows its users to build and activate their own support network, when necessary, with full anonymity.

“We do our best to implement our business strategy in a sustainable manner, being aware that people are our biggest asset and that their well-being has an effect on their work performance which will directly translate into a better bottom line for our whole organisation. I strongly believe that by implementing such benefits as extra days off or our Helping Hand app we are setting an example for the market at large to follow,” says Krzysztof Misiak, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Poland.
