Lorie Damon Named to ULI Healthcare and Life Sciences Council

3/6/2018
Cushman & Wakefield has announced that Lorie Damon, managing director of the firm’s Healthcare Advisory Practice, was named to the Urban Land Institute’s Health Care and Life Sciences Council (HCLSC).

The prestigious membership is restricted to just one individual per company, with overall council membership limited to approximately 50 members. Ms. Damon, based in Cushman & Wakefield’s St. Louis office, will serve a three-year term ending in 2021.

Ms. Damon has 16 years of experience in healthcare real estate. At Cushman & Wakefield she has grown the Healthcare Advisory Practice to more than 300 members nationally, while providing real estate services to many of the nation’s most recognized healthcare systems including BJC Healthcare, HCA, and LifePoint. Previously she served as Vice President, Healthcare Finance with Raymond James, where she advised healthcare systems regarding their real estate strategies. She also served as Vice President of Education and Research for BOMA International, leading the organization’s efforts to provide best-in-class professional development and research to the commercial real estate industry.

“My role on the HCLSC will be to share perspectives on issues such as how our healthcare clients are adapting their real estate portfolios to new care delivery modalities; how they are addressing tighter operating pressures and reimbursement constraints; and how they are strategizing in the face of new competitive threats, particularly as nontraditional healthcare companies enter the sector,” said Ms. Damon. “The Health Care and Life Sciences Council membership is composed of experts across the healthcare and real estate industries, creating a tremendous forum in which to discuss and explore the changing and challenging market dynamics our clients must navigate.”
