New York, NY – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has hired Ken Griebell as Managing Director, Head of Business Development for Asset Management, where he will be responsible for overseeing and leading business development strategy efforts with a primary focus on family offices, owners of real estate, insurance companies, pensions, endowments and other institutional investors. Griebell will be based in New York and will report to Kevin Smith, Executive Managing Director of Asset Management.
“Ken’s proven track record of business development with a wide range of investor clients will support the growth of our emerging third-party asset management business. He will excel at leading our goals to develop a strategy to manage outside institutional investor capital,” said Smith.
Griebell has more than 20 years of industry experience in marketing and business development, focused on real estate and real assets investments, private equity, venture, alternative investments and sustainable investments. He has an expensive background in capital formation, funding raising, co-investments, strategy, product structuring and investor relations.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Griebell served as the Managing Director and Head of Business Development for Ampersand Investments and as a Strategic Advisor for CenterSquare/RCG Longview. In his previous role with Cowen Investment Management, Griebell served as Managing Director of Business Development for eight years, leading strategic client relationships across several alternative investment asset classes, including commercial real estate debt and equity, venture, private equity and sustainable investments.
