Cushman & Wakefield Awarded 60,000-SF Industrial Leasing Assignment in Brooklyn

New York, NY Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has been retained on an exclusive basis to market 643-657 Court Street for lease. Situated in Red Hook, Brooklyn, 643-657 Court Street is a 60,000-square-foot industrial property.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Rico Murtha, Helen Paul, Bill Waxman, Kaitlin Reinertsen and Amanda Gerhardt will oversee the leasing assignment on behalf of the landlord, Weinberger Properties.

“This is the first time this industrial asset is available for lease in over 50 years,” said Murtha.  “The site can be utilized for a multitude of uses, including fleet-storage and vehicle repair, outdoor storage, electric vehicle charging and more.”

The industrial zoned land site is improved by a 5,680-square-foot building with an air-conditioned dispatch office, locker rooms, restrooms, break areas and storage areas. The property features three drive in doors, three curb cuts, electric vehicle charging stations, high ceilings and ample parking.   

“The proliferation of multi-story warehouses has had major impact on land values, particularly in dense infill markets such as the outer boroughs. For this reason and others, quality fleet sites have become increasingly rare and land rents have steadily increased. Even in the initial days of marketing, there has been a tremendous response to the opportunity at 643 Court Street, added Paul.

The site is located less than a mile away from the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel and Interstate 278 and three miles from the Manhattan Bridge.
