Riley will succeed Richey as Managing Principal for Florida as he shifts his focus away from the day-to-day operations to focus on client relationships, driving continued growth and increasing market share. Together, they will work closely to continue to build on the great momentum in Florida.
“Florida is an extremely important growth market for the firm and clearly the economic climate is on an upward trajectory,” said John O’Neill, President, U.S. Multifamily Capital Markets and the firm’s Central Region. “Larry has done a tremendous job of raising our firm’s profile across the state and no one is better suited to help us drive our continued success and capitalize on market conditions than Wanda. In her newly appointed role, Wanda will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of our firm in Florida. She will work closely with Larry, who will focus on client-facing responsibilities, recruiting and retaining our top talent and growing the firm’s overall presence in Florida.”
Since joining the firm in 2000, Riley has served in several key leadership roles. This includes previously serving in dual roles as Managing Principal of the firm’s Orlando and Jacksonville offices as well as statewide Director of Brokerage Services & Operations.
“Larry is a great leader and an even better friend whom I greatly admire,” Riley said. “He has significantly elevated Cushman & Wakefield’s position in Florida and I’m pleased to have him by my side, not only through the initial transition process but moving forward as we continue to service our clients and grow our market share.”
“Cushman & Wakefield has been an incredible company to work for over the past 40 years. I am excited about this new role at the firm and the opportunity to work in collaboration with Wanda to serve our clients and professionals,” Richey added.
The firm’s Florida offices, which comprise more than 800 professionals, consistently rank at the top of the competitive commercial real estate services industry in their respective markets. Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield has the largest property and facilities management portfolio in the state.
