SAN JOSE, Calif. – March 8, 2022 – Cushman & Wakefield announced Erik Hallgrimson, CCIM, Vice Chairman in the firm’s office in San Jose, California has been inducted into the Association of Silicon Valley Broker’s (ASVB) coveted Hall of Fame for his career success and leadership in the region’s commercial real estate industry. Hallgrimson has long been considered among Silicon Valley’s preeminent office/R&D brokers.
The regarded Hall of Fame honor was presented at the 46th Annual ASVB Awards Banquet held on March 3 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. In addition to Hallgrimson’s Hall of Fame induction, Cushman & Wakefield was also the recipient of several other prominent awards.
During his more than 23-year career, as a commercial real estate advisor representing institutional landlords, private real estate investors, emerging growth companies, and Fortune 500 companies, Hallgrimson has transacted nearly $6 billion in leases and sales, comprising more than 25 million square feet (msf) of leases and 10 msf in sales, plus over 450 land acres sold. Several of his transactions are among the most significant and impacting in the history of Silicon Valley. Hallgrimson is also a past winner of the ASVB’s Rookie of the Year, Office/R&D Procuring Broker of the Year, and Land Broker of the Year awards.
In addition to his work in brokerage, Hallgrimson also sits on the board of several charitable organizations including Goodwill of Silicon Valley, First Tee of Monterey County, the Pay it Forward Foundation, the San Jose Sports Authority, and the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance.

Mike Thompson, Senior Director—Listing Broker of the Year (# of listings) and Procuring Broker of the Year (# of deals).
The ASVB is an organization of real estate brokers and salespersons dedicated to the promotion of high standards in the industrial/commercial brokerage field. The ASVB Annual Awards Banquet brings together Silicon Valley’s top commercial real estate professionals to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of the broker/broker teams winning in various categories for their Silicon Valley Commercial Real Estate activity.
Proceeds from the ASVB awards event are donated to selected charities who are recognized for their life-changing efforts in assisting those in need throughout the Silicon Valley. To be eligible for the ASVB Hall of Fame, a candidate must have been active in commercial real estate in Silicon Valley for at least 20 years (during any period) and total transaction consideration of $1.0 billion or greater.
