Masson brings strong background in institutional landlord representation and will collaborate with firm’s other top Agency Leasing brokers
SEATTLE, Wash., September 5, 2023 – Cushman & Wakefield announced that landlord leasing, advisory and transaction specialist Leah Masson has joined the firm’s Seattle office as a Senior Director. With nearly a decade working in the real estate industry, Masson possesses a strong background in primarily serving institutional landlords and has represented many of the region’s major property owners.
Masson joins Cushman & Wakefield from CBRE where she began her career in 2015 and most recently served as Vice President with the firm’s Agency Leasing team in Seattle.
“Leah’s extensive market knowledge, strong work ethic, fresh perspective to the office sector, and keen sense in understanding client needs have helped her build reputable relationships throughout the business community and a great reputation as a broker,” said Alison Beddard, Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Principal for Washington and Oregon. “Leah represents the exceptional and innovative talent we continue to aspire to shape our team, which is quickly evolving as a differentiator in the market.”
“In just the past few years, C&W has seen double-digit roster growth in the Puget Sound as we have leaned into recruiting top talent across our diverse line of services, including Brokerage, Asset Services (commercial and residential), Valuation & Advisory, Project & Development Services, Capital Markets, Multifamily Services, and Equity Debt and Structured Financing (EDSF). It is my mission and priority to create a culture and environment of collaboration and values placing our best team on the field for each client. With changing times, we want our clients to be reassured that C&W provides a robust and aligned multi-service team committed to delivering results in real time,” continued Beddard.
In addition to her individual brokerage work, Leah will collaborate with Andrew Shultz and Brandon Burmeister, two of Cushman & Wakefield’s preeminent Agency Leasing brokers serving the Puget Sound, forming a powerhouse landlord rep team focused on winning new business. Shultz and Burmeister currently represent many high-profile and influential office projects in the Seattle and Eastside markets. The firm’s growing Asset Services team led by Chris Battles will partner with Masson, Burmeister and Shultz to provide innovative leasing and management solutions going forward.
As both an individual and teammate, Leah has demonstrated excellent deal negotiation skills and has been recognized for her strategic approach to deal making and building repositions to achieve both immediate and long-term goals for her clients. “Leah will be a key contributor in helping C&W align our Agency Leasing services with each of our other client service lines,” added Beddard.
Leah Masson expressed, “Cushman & Wakefield offers a world-class platform comprising a talented and well-rounded line of services and deep resources and market intelligence that will help me continue to expand my business and growth in the industry. As a brokerage firm, Cushman & Wakefield has become a disruptor in the Puget Sound region which really excites me. I look forward to collaborating with my new team led by Alison, who, as a woman influencer and mentor in real estate, I am also eager to learn more closely from her own path and success in the industry.”
Active in her community, Masson is a mentor with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Puget Sound. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boise State University.
