Dan Baker joined the Cushman & Wakefield National Senior Housing Capital Markets team as a Director in 2018 and is responsible for investment sales, equity placement, debt origination, joint venture formation, and structuring of senior housing and skilled nursing transactions nationally.
Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Dan was a Vice President with Avison Young in their senior housing group and prior to Avison Young, Dan was a Senior Associate for the CBRE National Senior Housing Group. Dan has 13 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry and has been involved in senior housing operations, construction management, research, financial analysis, and brokerage. Since 2010 Dan has been exclusively dedicated to the Senior Housing space, starting with NIC and has participated in over $3 Billion worth of Senior Housing transactions around the country since 2011. Assignments range from small single assets to large portfolios. His Senior Housing career began working for a regional operator where he was in communities daily and gained inside understanding of the complex nature of Senior Housing operations. He is an active volunteer and member of Urban Land Institute and Aging 2.0.
Dan obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a Masters of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.
