Veteran CRE Executive will Lead Growing British Columbia Team
VANCOUVER, January 9, 2023 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Blake Asselstine has joined the firm as Executive Managing Director and Managing Principal for British Columbia.
Asselstine will lead the region’s more than 150 employees, including 68 brokers. Additionally, he will lead business development and growth for leasing, capital markets, project development services and asset services and work to recruit top talent to Cushman & Wakefield.

With more than a decade of brokerage experience, Asselstine joins Cushman & Wakefield from Beedie, where he most recently served as Vice President, Asset Management. In his role at Beedie, he oversaw the day-to-day activities of the asset management team, including leasing, property management, tenant improvement construction, and service and warranty. Prior to this position, he served as Beedie’s Director of Leasing, supporting the growth of the IPP portfolio from 8.5 million square feet (msf) to 10.5-msf over six years, and successfully maintaining a near zero vacancy rate during that period. He is a graduate of the University of Victoria.
