Cushman & Wakefield appoints Sam Asher, Will Kennedy-Cooke to Development & Commercial Advisory team

Amy Kathleen Kelly • 17/02/2025

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of two senior leaders to Development & Commercial Advisory (DCA) within its Project & Development Services (PDS) business.

Sam Asher joins as Senior Director, Head of Development & Commercial Advisory, Project & Development Services, Asia Pacific. Sam has over 20 years’ experience working across major infrastructure projects including data centres, aviation, roads & tunnelling and the logistics & industrial sectors. A chartered quantity surveyor, Sam has also served as a commercial director and financiers’ verifier. As Head of DCA, Sam is responsible for managing the team and growing Cushman & Wakefield's share of market across the built environment.

Will Kennedy-Cooke joins as Senior Director, Development & Commercial Advisory, Project & Development Services, Asia Pacific. Will has led specialist teams and managed the delivery of some of the largest building and infrastructure developments in Asia Pacific. Within DCA, he will continue to advise on feasibilities, project strategy & structuring, board/stakeholder communications, alternative delivery models and project monitoring.

Head of Project & Development Services, Sustainability & Data Centres Tom Gibson said:

“Cushman & Wakefield continues to grow its reputation for project delivery beyond traditional occupier services and into secular growth areas including data centres, life sciences, specialized logistics & industrial sectors, and social infrastructure. The appointment of these two senior leaders is in direct response to client demand for Cushman & Wakefield’s Project & Development Services’ offering right across the built environment, and by some of the industry’s most sophisticated players.

“Sam and Will’s combined technical and commercial expertise elevates our PDS offering to provide clients with a single-company solution for the transition from project advisory to delivery. We are thrilled to have them both on board.”

Sam and Will continue their working relationship at Cushman & Wakefield after both moving from WT Partnership, where they provided commercial services to regional and global clients.

Sam said: “It’s a privilege to lead and grow Cushman & Wakefield’s Development & Commercial Advisory team as the company’s reputation for excellence in complex project delivery across the built environment continues to build. With the support of Will and the rest of the growing DCA team, I look forward to further accelerating this progress and helping more clients unlock value from real estate.”
