Schneider Electrics Singapore: Building A New Eco-Friendly HQ

Schneider Electric, a French multinational company, needed to convert an existing building at 50 Kallang Avenue into its new East Asia and Japan headquarters in Singapore.

The goal was to turn the building’s office spaces into a green and sustainable facility, on budget and on time. It had to be ready for occupancy in early 2018.

Cushman & Wakefield crafted end-to-end design and project management solutions to deliver workspaces that enable Schneider Electric to cut its carbon footprint.

The team has also set up green practices in the building, including efficient electrical and system design, energy-efficient equipment, and smart controls.

In March 2018, Schneider Electric employees moved to the new headquarters in time for its opening.

The retrofitting of the 20-year old, nine-storey building eventually paid off. It won the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award and also became the first office building in Singapore certified under the new BCA guidelines.
