Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Ben O’Connor to head up its Public Sector Advisory team in Bristol.

Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Ben O’Connor to head up its Public Sector Advisory team in Bristol.

Ben joins as Partner and brings 19 years’ experience. He joins from public sector focused developer, Kajima Partnerships, where he was responsible for managing bids for public sector tenders to local authorities and NHS Trusts. 

In his new role, O’Connor will manage the Public Sector Advisory team in Bristol, with responsibility for the delivery of key public-sector contracts in South West and South Wales, as well as supporting the Bristol office to build profile in public sector and development activities.

Prior to his time at Kajima Partnerships, O’Connor was a Development Manager for the Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England) and spent 12 years at GVA (now Avison Young).

Ben O’Connor said: “I’m looking forward to working with our existing team to provide genuine insight and best-in-class advice to our public sector clients, many of which are facing increasing budgetary pressures and having to change the way they deliver services.

Cushman & Wakefield is appointed to numerous public sector frameworks and works extensively with clients across central and local government and the health and education sectors. The firm advises the public sector not only as occupiers of commercial property but also on how best to use the private sector to viably deliver its policy aims, from housing delivery to social care to urban regeneration.
