Cushman & Wakefield Wins Platinum Clean City Award

05/03/2020

Cushman & Wakefield has been recognised for its commitment to improving the environmental performance of its corporate offices.

Through the work of Andrew Baker (Head of Energy, Infrastructure and Sustainability) and Louise Rushmer (Account Lead, Corporate Portfolio – IFM, EMEA Global Occupier Services) and their respective teams, the firm has won a Platinum Clean City Award from the City of London Corporation.

This award recognises businesses in the City who have demonstrated best practice in environmental management at their offices and more specifically, have committed to eliminating the use of single use items.

King William Street and 125 Old Broad Street were both awarded Platinum awards by the Lady Mayoress of the City of London for the Facilities Management of their buildings.

Both these offices have zero waste sent to landfill and have also successfully eliminated the use of single use plastic cups and crockery, which has significantly reduced our waste consumption.

Andrew Baker comments, “This award is a notable achievement and highlights our ongoing commitment to becoming more sustainable as a business. At a time of a global climate emergency it’s important that Cushman & Wakefield demonstrates leadership on reducing our own environmental impact. This award is testimony to the hard work team members across the firm are putting into reducing this impact.
