London, 1 May 2024 - Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Gillian Bowman as a Partner and Head of Sustainability within its UK Valuation & Advisory team.
Bowman spent the last eight years at Knight Frank as a Partner and ESG lead in its Valuation & Advisory team, valuing assets in all property sectors and geographies for high profile institutional clients. As part of Knight Frank’s ESG taskforce she led the integration of ESG into all client services, including valuation. Prior to this, she held the role of Fund Manager at Kames Capital where she was involved in the inception, set-up, and running of funds.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Bowman will work alongside David Mills, Head of Portfolio Valuation, to elevate the firm’s capabilities in the provision of multi-asset portfolios for investor clients, advising a range of institutional funds, pension funds and corporate occupiers. She will also support Charles Smith, Chairman of UK Valuation & Advisory, helping to drive forward Cushman & Wakefield’s ESG offering across the service line.
Cushman & Wakefield’s UK Valuation & Advisory team comprises sector specialists who provide data-led advice and commercial insight to deliver tailored solutions to support clients.
Bowman’s arrival follows a succession of new role announcements in the specialist team, including the recent promotions of Jonathan Stickells to UK Specialist Markets Valuation & Advisory Lead, and Chad Davies to UK Head of Regions V&A.
Tom Nuttall, Head of UK Valuation & Advisory at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We’re thrilled that Gillian has joined our team. Not only is she a skilled valuer with an outstanding reputation in the market, but her keen interest in ESG is apposite at a time when investor strategies are increasingly focusing on sustainability, social responsibility, and as valuation approaches develop to reflect this more explicitly as a result. She will be a great addition to the team and will enhance our ambitious plans for the future of our valuation business.”
Gillian Bowman, Partner, and Head of Sustainability in Valuation & Advisory at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “I am delighted to join Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory team. The firm has a market-leading reputation for strong specialist sector knowledge and experience, with a focus on developing and extending its services to support evolving client strategies and decision making. I am excited to be part of such a positive culture and a friendly and talented team of people.”
