  • Appointment reaffirms Cushman & Wakefield’s position as a leading supplier in economic advisory services in housing and regeneration
  • Sole property advisor appointed onto the panel as lead consultant
  • Cushman & Wakefield will play a key role in assisting Homes England to realise its expanded regeneration role

LONDON, 9 January 2025 – Cushman & Wakefield has been reappointed to the Homes England Strategic Research, Economics and Evaluation Framework following a formal procurement process. The firm is one of the appointed suppliers on the framework across England for the next four years.

Homes England is the government’s housing and regeneration agency, targeting positive market change and the housing-led regeneration of towns and cities across the country, helping to improve neighbourhoods and grow thriving communities.

As the sole property advisor appointed to the panel in a lead consultant capacity, the reappointment confirms Cushman & Wakefield’s position as a leading supplier of property economics advisory in housing and regeneration, economic development, and economic appraisal. Services will be delivered through Cushman & Wakefield’s dedicated national Economic Development & Appraisal Team, supported by specialist sub-consultant advisors, KADA Research, SYSTRA and Colin Warnock Associates, enabling them to provide a comprehensive economic advisory service to clients.

The framework is open to all public sector organisations to use and provides a pre-procured route to  accessing economic services.

Ben Pretty, Partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s Land, Development & Planning Team, and Framework Lead, said: “This is the only national economic advisory framework of its kind, and our appointment is testament to our successful track record and strong credentials in this space, as well as our ability to combine core economic appraisal and research services with wider property market expertise. It presents exciting opportunities to support a Government committed to housing delivery and national economic growth. Demonstrating the value for money of public investment will be paramount, and we very much look forward to supporting clients to drive housing delivery, regeneration, and additional social and economic outcomes for the UK economy.”

Cushman & Wakefield has advised Homes England and its predecessors for more than 30 years, advising on large scale regeneration projects and innovative solutions to the challenges facing delivery.

The firm is appointed to numerous public sector frameworks and works extensively with clients across central and local government and the health and education sectors. It advises the public sector, not only as occupiers of commercial property, but also on how best to work collaboratively with the private sector to viably deliver its policy aims, from housing delivery to social care to urban regeneration. A recent example includes securing HM Treasury approval for £67m of Government investment in Sheffield City Centre to unlock more than 1,200 new homes as part of a comprehensive regeneration scheme.
