Richard Coleman • 06/03/2025
Hogan, who has been with Cushman & Wakefield for 10 years, is an experienced advisor in PRS/BTR investment and operation, as well as student accommodation, seniors housing and co-living. He will succeed Stephen Screene who is relocating to the Middle East and joining a significant client in the region.
Hogan will perform the EMEA role alongside his responsibilities as Head of Living in Ireland, in which he has advised on many landmark schemes from development stage to site mobilisation, ongoing leasing management, and acquisition and disposal.
He will work closely with cross border living capital markets Partner Emily Marks, country level sector heads, and other senior leaders within the EMEA Capital Markets team supporting clients throughout the investment life cycle of their assets.
James Chapman, Head of EMEA Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Patrick is a top performer in the living sector with significant experience across all aspects of capital markets and whose advice is greatly respected by the leading investors in the living space. As a proven deal-doer with a strong background in operational real estate, he will expand our delivery of outstanding advice and execution across our EMEA platform.
“Stephen has made an outstanding contribution over more than 30 years with the firm, in which time he has lived and worked in Czechia, the Netherlands, Italy and most recently in the UK. It has been a pleasure to work with him for a large part of that and we wish him every success in an exciting new chapter for him.”
Patrick Hogan, Head of EMEA Living Capital Markets, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Europe’s living sector is underpinned by powerful structural trends and has grown to account for around a fifth of European investment volumes. These volumes continue to grow, and the sector is a key focus for our many of our clients who we have supported on some of the most significant recent transactions in the sector and I’m eager to drive further growth by supporting them in capitalising on opportunities across the region.”
Cushman & Wakefield has been expanding in the Living sector, with James Dunne joining this month as Head of UK Living from global investment manager aberdeen, which has more than €10bn of Living assets under management.
Its Living teams operate across BTR, PRS, student accommodation, seniors housing, and the wider residential and land markets providing a range of capital markets, valuation and advisory, leasing and management, consultancy and development services. Drawing on advanced data and analytical tools, proprietary research and insight, and in-depth market knowledge, they deliver holistic advice, transactions, and solutions to investors, developers, operators, landowners, and the public sector.
