Cushman & Wakefield – Birmingham Office

Workplace considerations are rapidly evolving in terms of prioritising employee engagement and ESG. This move was an opportunity to talk to the Cushman & Wakefield Midlands teams, analyse working patterns and create a flexible and agile solution that would deliver against organisational goals. 

Project timing was a key aspect with a lease expiry in May 2024 and over £1 million of annual accommodation costs to mitigate and manage. 

This project was an example of cross service-line working, showcasing the depth and breadth of talent across Cushman & Wakefield, alongside a few trusted third parties. 

This process included all aspects of the design, workplace analysis, the appointment of external consultants (Squaredot, Estilo Interiors and Gowlings), sustainability goals, gaining Landlord approval and tendering & delivering the scheme. 

We have created an environment to foster collaboration and social interaction whilst also introducing dedicated focus areas for individuals. We have moved to a design that encompasses our brand values and is configured for the team’s needs. 

The new BREEAM ‘excellent recommended’ Birmingham office was delivered against a challenging timeline (Oct 2023 – May 24) and budget constraints. It provides a positive step change in the working environment enjoyed by our teams in Birmingham.  

This innovative space is designed not only to foster collaboration and creativity but also to deliver exceptional value through enhanced productivity and access to technology.
