London, 7th April 2022 – Cushman & Wakefield has strengthened its national Logistics & Industrial (L&I) team with the appointment of Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse.
Lawrence-Waterhouse re-joins Cushman & Wakefield as a Partner based in Birmingham, having spent the last five years at Aviva Investors as an Asset Manager where he was responsible for managing a variety of industrial and logistics assets across South West London and the North of England.
Previously Lawrence-Waterhouse was at Cushman & Wakefield for over ten years in the firm’s L&I team, responsible for acquisitions, disposals, and lease re-gears for a range of landlord, developer, investor, and occupier clients. He started his career in Cushman & Wakefield’s Edinburgh office working across the central belt, Dundee and Aberdeen, before joining the Birmingham office late 2008.
Lawrence-Waterhouse returns to his previous area of specialism - the Midlands logistics and industrial market – where he will be a senior member of the team supporting David Binks, who himself returned to the firm last year. Cushman & Wakefield data shows demand across both the West and East Midlands logistics and industrial markets reached record levels in 2021, with the latter posting the highest annual occupier take-up ever recorded for any UK region.
David Binks, Head of Midlands Logistics & Industrial at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We’re delighted to welcome back Colin to Cushman & Wakefield. He first joined the firm as a graduate and was a rising star who went client-side to broaden his experience. He returns with a great wealth of knowledge and expertise in both large scale multi-let industrial estates and single-let distribution and manufacturing facilities.
“His experience complements the existing team, and his arrival will enhance our ability to offer clients unparalleled advice at a time when demand for UK logistics and industrial space is experiencing unprecedented demand.”
Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse, Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, adds: “It’s such an exciting opportunity to return to Cushman & Wakefield. In the last five years I’ve gained valuable experience working in the asset management sector, and an understanding of how to maximise performance from both single and multi-let assets, as well as the proactive role agents need to take in that process going beyond the immediate leasing instruction. I’m delighted to be working alongside David Binks once again and contributing to the continued growth of the Logistics & Industrial team at such a significant time for the sector.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s UK L&I team continues to grow, while at an EMEA level the firm recently announced the promotion of Tim Crighton, who will lead the sector team across the EMEA region.
