Cushman & Wakefield Appoints Jamie Renison As Head Of Life Sciences Agency UK

12/05/2022

Renison, an International Partner at Cushman & Wakefield, has more than 25 years’ agency experience including the ‘Golden Triangle’ – Cambridge, Oxford, and London – one of the world’s leading life sciences and biotechnology clusters.

This includes the premier locations of The Oxford Science Park and Granta Park, Cambridge, as well as emerging life sciences hubs including Stevenage, where Cushman & Wakefield is advising global healthcare company GSK in bringing forward a 1 million+ sq ft life sciences campus adjacent to its existing R&D hub.

Jamie Renison

Renison joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2012 as a specialist in the South East market, increasingly focusing on the life sciences and technology sectors. In his new role, Renison will have a national remit as a key figure within the UK Life Sciences team, responsible for leading leasing activity across the UK, and working closely with Nick Blevins who leads occupier representation work within the sector.

Michael Aston, Head of Life Sciences at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Jamie’s expertise and experience working on many of the projects shaping the continued success of the UK’s life sciences sector will be a huge asset to our clients in his new role leading leasing activity. Recent announcements by some of the world’s biggest investors underline the huge appetite for developing much-needed lab and office space, enabling the UK to maintain its status as a global centre of scientific research, innovation and discovery.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Life Sciences team provides real estate advice to the sector, including site selection and design, lease and portfolio management, operational advice, financing and capital markets. The firm recently advised Canary Wharf Group on the formation of a joint venture with Kadans Science Partner to develop a new 750,000 sq ft GIA life-science focused, wet lab building at Canary Wharf in London, and secured Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC as a strategic partner for Magdalen College Oxford to accelerate the further development of The Oxford Science Park.

Jamie Renison, Head of Life Sciences Agency UK, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Life sciences is the most exciting and dynamic sector in real estate, and I’m delighted to take on this new role helping our clients create the environments and ecosystems in which companies have everything they need to flourish and grow. The strength and connectivity of our global life sciences platform gives us outstanding insight not just into the key occupiers in the sector, but also how investors are mobilising to provide global best in class facilities to meet their needs.”
