The logistics and distribution company Grup Viapack, which is part of the GLS Spain network of agencies, with 9 offices in Barcelona, has recently leased 11,400 sqm of a logistics warehouse in Ódena (Barcelona), owned by EQT Exeter, a leading global real estate investment company, in a transaction advised by Cushman & Wakefield. The completion of this warehouse allows EQT Exeter to reach a total of thirty logistics warehouses in Spain with almost 650,000 sqm of floor space.

The space has 10,469 sqm of warehouse space, 440 sqm of office space and 484 sqm of additional space.

The area in which the industrial estate is located stands out for being an area in expansion within the logistics market in Barcelona.

The asset has a total surface area of more than 22,700 sqm, of which Grup Viapack has leased half: 11,400 sqm of warehouse space, 440 sqm of office space, and an additional 484 sqm. The warehouse has been built to meet ESG criteria and has obtained a BREEAM Very Good certification. The remaining half of EQT Exeter's industrial building is still available on the market.

The industrial estate in which the warehouse is located is strategically located, with easy access to the A-2, AP-7, C-37 and C-15 motorways, and is mainly occupied by logistics, distribution and manufacturing companies related to the automotive, technology, pharmaceutical and food sectors.

Pere Morcillo, Head of Industrial & Logistics at C&W Spain, pointed out that "the growth of Grup Viapack's logistics operations in the area demonstrates the great operability of Igualada, which stands out as a growing and expanding region within the logistics area of Barcelona".
