The Crown Estate Appoints Cushman & Wakefield As Hospitality and Leisure Advisors Across Its London Portfolio
14/12/2022
London, 15 December 2022 – The Leisure & Restaurants Team at real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, led by Matt Ashman, Megan Hutchinson and Matt Englender, has been appointed by The Crown Estate to advise on the Hospitality and Leisure aspects of its London portfolio.
This appointment reinforces Cushman & Wakefield’s leading advisor status and swiftly follows the announcement that the firm is to provide retail leasing advice across the same London portfolio – and the only advisor to work across both Hospitality & Leisure and Retail for The Crown Estate.
The Crown Estate, established by an Act of Parliament, is a unique business with a diverse property portfolio that stretches across the country. The Crown Estate works to create social, environmental and financial value, both now and for the future, for its customers, partners and the nation, returning 100% of its net revenue profit to the Treasury for the benefit of the nation.
With a London portfolio spanning 10 million sq ft, The Crown Estate is one of the West End’s largest landowners. Comprising of Regent Street and around half of St James’s, its offer extends across the workplace, retail, dining, leisure, and residential sectors.
Leanne Catterall, Customer Partnership Director for London and Regional at The Crown Estate, said: “Hospitality and culture is a huge focus for us over the near future, as we look to reposition our customer base to offer more diverse, immersive and experience led concepts.”
Matt Ashman, Head of Leisure & Restaurants at Cushman & Wakefield said: “We are beyond excited to assist The Crown Estate, for the first time, in a truly holistic vision across its diverse and dynamic London portfolio, ensuring that it maintains its global reputation as both a leisure and culinary destination.
