Mr. Wells is a Managing Director in the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. and serves as the Texas Practice Leader for the national Property Tax Services group. In this role, he is responsible for the states of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Kansas. His duties are to develop, grow, and sustain the Texas practice and support the group’s objectives nationally and internationally.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Earl was Senior Manager in the Houston office of a national state and local tax consulting firm. Throughout his career, he has worked for either large public accounting firms or major national firms focusing on high value special use properties. This specialty allowed Mr. Wells to serve as a national resource on a multitude of engagements for higher value appeals and negotiations throughout the country.

Mr. Wells has 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, complex/industrial and personal property tax consulting services, with extensive experience conducting thousands of property tax hearings, participating in informal negotiations and significant experience in litigation support in complicated cases around the country.

  • Mr. Wells has been a guest speaker at external professional organizations, and has spoken and led issue breakout sessions during firm-sponsored roundtable events for clients and other industry participants.
  • Mr. Wells is a frequent presenter at Cushman & Wakefield’s annual and quarterly meetings.
