The firm will open its first shop in Barcelona.
IRO increases its presence in the Spanish market. The Parisian company specialising in fashion is raising the shutters on its first shop in Barcelona. IRO will be located at number 100 on one of the city's main shopping streets, Paseo de Gracia.
The new establishment, which has a surface area of 215 square metres distributed on a single floor, will become the company's flagship store in Spain. The company will be located in the 'luxury' section of the Catalan street and will share the street with brands such as Balenciaga, Golden Goose, Stella Mccartney, Loro Piana and Bottega Veneta, among others.
Until now, the firm had its own shop at 32-34 Claudio Coello in Madrid. It also has two corners in El Corte Inglés, one in Madrid at Serrano 457 and the other in Marbella at Ramón Areces. Globally, the company has more than 70 mono-brand shops and distributes in 600 points of sale in 50 countries around the world.
"IRO's landing in Barcelona is of immense value given the current state of retail and is an indicator that firms are continuing their expansion plans," says Clara Matías, retail manager at Cushman & Wakefield.
